ssh - 10/3 nhl season opener!

After 4 long months, the nhl is back! All teams start with a record of 0-0-0 with legitimate hopes to win the cup... At least, that's how habs fans think.

Lets all meet at 2pm for our regular game with nhl action on the telly afterwards. We might have to move an unmentionable structure so the more the merrier.

2009 Canada vs. usa game report.

It was much closer than the score indicates but Canada bested the US for the 3rd year in a row. Good thing this was over in 4 games. We would have needed stretchers otherwise.

The MVP (Koh Smythe) goes to Scott Macquarie. Well deserved. His superscuzz point shot mystified the US goaltenders.

Can v. USA - come for the bbq - stay for the beer

From : the office of the commissioner
To : all 186 (!) members of www.seattlestreethockey.com, newbies and veterans

The 3rd annual Canada v. USA game is coming up this Saturday 6/27. This year, the event begins at noon with a somewhat serious best of 7 series pitting players USA against Canada and culminating at Petos (corner of Linden and 81st) for bbq and beers. BBQ is family friendly, so bring your lil' ones.

To keep the game flowing, we had to limit roster size this year (although if you'r… Continue

No set up hockey spot?

On my bike ride yesterday, I stumbled upon this place in Discovery park. 2 basically abandoned tennis courts. Dimensions were about 100x50, 8 feet fence on 1 side and court nets on the other. 0 setup time. Food for thought. Could try it once this… Continue

yes, vinny, life has been good in the UP. play drop in hockey everyday at noon (5 bucks a session) and i get street hockey going every once in awhile when i get enough kids to play. anyways i wanted to ask you about the Vegas team...Who's picking the squad this year? Kevin informed me that Doucette was taking over most of his responsibilities on the team but he hasnt returned my email so I wanted to talk to you...I want to play with my buddy Paul Quayle on a line as winger pairs. You met him before when he was in Seattle for 2 weeks. I like playing on Benny's line because we got good chemistry but me and Paul play together everyday at noon and we play on the same line in our Men's League twice a week so we know how each other plays. I also wouldn't be opposed to playing with Paul together as Defensive pairs so we can get more ice time. Vegas is coming up and I know we can score more goals if i got PQ playing out there with me...so if at all possible we can include him on the squad let me know. and if not let me know, because most likely i will still make the trip and paul will come too and just watch...i just put in my time off request for work so most likely I will be there for the tourney...Talk to you later bro...hope things are well...k peace! get at me!

Hey guys...
Are you still planning on going to the Sin City shoot out? I have a couple buddies here in salt lake that want to go to the tournament, and play on a team.
Drop me a line if you have room on your team for three more guys...

Hey Vincent,
Happy New Year. Any thoughts on the below message and potential tourney in Japan? A bit of an expense, but hey, an experience for sure.
Cheers,
Allan

Hey Vincent,
Greetings from the land of the rising sun. I had to give a speech at a ball hockey tournament in Nagoya two week-ends ago and got to thinking that it would be great to have a team from Seattle come and take part in this tourney. There was a team from Mississauga here and I might be able to get a bunch of people to put players up if you're interested. The Tourney is usually mid November so if you'd like, I'll keep you posted.
Cheers,
Allan
